Kalemah is pleased to launch a one of its kind First Youth Seminar tailored to impart structured Islamic knowledge to teenage boys and girls. “The Chosen One” takes the youngsters on a journey in knowing the appearance and manners of the best man to ever walk on earth – “Prophet Muhammad” peace be upon him. The seminar is based on the classical book “Shamā’il Muhammadiyyah” about which some of the scholars have said that whoever missed the opportunity to see the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) needs to only study this book to gain a vivid perception of what it would have been like to live among the Prophet and his Companions.
Why This Seminar
The teen years are undoubtedly among the hardest for youth and their parents. They are a time of physical and emotional upheaval. In practical terms, that can mean heated arguments, misunderstanding, and miscommunication as young Muslims struggle to deal with pressures in and outside the home, and negotiate an Islamic identity in both worlds. It is at this time that Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him, becomes especially relevant as a role model, the “beautiful example” to humanity, as he is described in the Quran (33:21). The seminar will help in increasing one’s love for the Prophet as well as his sunnah and create an apparent desire to emulate his noble characters in their daily lives.
