‘Iqra’ – A Quran recitation program with accurate pronunciation and proper Tajweed
Kalemah invites you to join Sister Mona Khalid and Sheikh Shakir in learning the accurate way of reciting the Quran while applying all rules of Tajweed.
The course is open to all students who are able to read the Quran at a basic level or wish to improve their reading, the teachers will there on help the students to further correct or improve their reading and ensure that the student understands the basics of the tajweed application while reciting.
With Limited seats ONLY, the course is spread over the month of Ramadan with 90 minutes sessions daily (Sun – Thurs)
About the instructors
Shakir Siddeeque Ali Working with us ( Kalemah Islamic Centre) as a Qur’an teacher since October 2016.
He graduated from Madinah Islamic University in 2011 with Hadeeth as major.
There after he used to lecture in Manarul Huda Arabic college(Vengara, Kerala-India) in Islamic Studies and Arabic.
Afterwards he worked in international Institute of Islamic Sciences (Wayanad, Kerala-India) as HoD ( head of department) of
Arabic and Islamic Studies before joining Kalemah.
He also has an Ijazah in the Qira’ath of Hafs which he obtained from one of the teachers in Masjid-un-Nabawi.
Mona Khalid Ibrahim Hassan is certified in the 10 modes of recitation of the Qur’an from the University of Al-Azhar. In addition, she has studied numerous classical works in Quranic recitation. She has several years experience teaching Quranic recitation and Islamic Studies as well as curriculum development.
